Doesn't hurt to remember that about six months ago, both Steve Bannon and Alex Jones on their separate podcasts of bullshit said that the best thing that could happen to the GOP would be for Trump to die and they slip Michael Flynn in with JD Vance, because they'd really ram the hell out of Project 2025 (and I only WISH I were paraphrasing). So there's that. Meanwhile, my prognostications:
The long knives are out for DJT, and the trouble is (for that schmuck) they're all Republican.
JD Vance is their point man who, like Robespierre, smells funny, acts worse and will be shivved in his turn.
They will desperately look for their own version of Walz and realize that all their happy warriors are hiding the cellar, watching MeTV and praying they survive the Reign of Terror.
There will be brief consideration of blowing up Yellowstone because there's nothing like a good volcanic disaster to restructure society in the "right" way, but they can't find enough gas masks and nobody's built a bomb shelter in decades.
There will be a lot of yelling on Fox News, et al.
